This is the first time Chinese Floral Arrangements will be displayed in the Chinese Garden. The arrangements will be displayed at the gate of the Chinese Garden (Liu Fang Yuan), the Star Gazing Pavilion, the Brush Flowering Library and the Corridor of Refreshing Sound. The members of the Chinese Floral Arts Foundation - USA Charter will spend all day to create a variety of artfully designed arrangements. May 2019 International Art Museum of America
This is the first time the CFAF - USA Charter displayed an installation of floral images in the museum for four weeks. Our foundation felt that a typical floral exhibition only allows for 2 to 3 days of viewing due to the perishable nature of flowers. In order to maximize the viewing potential of the exhibit, we created a set of photographic portraits to be put on display. This prolongs the period of time that the floral images are available for viewing and is essential to those viewers who can spend a few quiet hours to learn about the historic significance of the exhibition and gain an appreciation for the Chinese scholars view of beauty in nature.
May 2018 San Gabriel Mission Playhouse
For three weeks, the Asian Pacific American Festival was run and organized by the San Gabriel Mission Playhouse. This was the first time the festival was designed to feature all Asian Pacific Americans in the San Gabriel Valley. We were invited to display the floral arrangements in the Glass room. We also provided a demonstration and tea ceremony during the opening weekend. After 10 years of exhibitions, lecturing, and demonstrations, the foundation received many requests to teach floral classes.
